Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrive in the Village of St. Martins. Make a quick stop at the Shipyard Cafe before hitting the trailhead at Big Salmon River. Your guides will prepare a trailside lunch on your way to your camp at Seely Beach. Our recommendation, take in some stars this night because you’re in the UNESCO Fundy Biosphere Reserve that is part of the longest stretch of undeveloped wilderness coastline in North America, there’s practically no light pollution!

DAY 2

This morning, your guides will prepare breakfast and coffee or tea before heading back on the trail. Discover the land’s natural and cultural history through your guide’s interpretation and stories. Camp at Little Salmon River, where your support team has once again set up camp and brought in fresh food.

DAY 3

Wake up again amongst the trees and continue on the trail. The Fundy Footpath’s elevation and terrain can be challenging. Your guides will make sure you are taken care of and will have lots of tips on how to conquer the trail. Today’s lunch will be at Wolf Brook and your dinner and camp are located at the extremely picturesque Martin Head.

DAY 4

Today is your second last full day of hiking. Depart from Martin Head towards your final camp at Rose Brook. There’s still lots to discover in the rich ecosystems of the Fundy Coastline. Looking out across the Bay of Fundy, you will also be able to see the province of Nova Scotia. Take in the natural history on the formation of the Bay and how it get its highest tides.

DAY 5

Congratulations! Today you finish the Fundy Footpath. Your last breakfast at camp leads into some hiking, lunch at Goose River, and arrive at your final destination at Point Wolfe. Shuttle back to St. Martins. Celebrate your achievment

Fundy Footpath

THE FUNDY LOOK OUT

The rugged geology and natural beauty of the Bay of Fundy wilderness was the inspiration for the creation of the 41-km (25-mi.) Fundy Footpath, whose unique ecosystem can only be appreciated on foot, in the ambience of the Bay of Fundy microclimate.
