FUNDY TRAIL

UNESCO FUNDY BIOSPHERE RESERVE

A don’t-miss Fundy experience! The Fundy Trail is more than a trail. It is a 2,559-hectare park featuring a 19-km (12-mi.) drive hugging the coast with stunning views in every direction. There is a fascinating eco system, new access for 2016 to Long Beach stretching for 2.5 km (1.5 mi.) along the bay, 3 discovery beaches, a 10-km (6-mi.) multi-use coastal trail and several footpaths. Other reasons to visit the Fundy Trail include over 20 lookouts with soul-inspiring views, a 15-metre waterfall, 60-meter suspension bridge, little flowerpot rock, 600 million-year-old rock formations and kayak tours. The Interpretive Centre has a new gift boutique, interpreters and daily programs to learn about the fascinating local and natural history. Guided walks are also available. Fundy Trail is part of the UNESCO Fundy Biosphere Reserve, Stonehammer Geopark and the Trans Canada Trail. You can also access the 41-km (25-mi.) Fundy Footpath from here. You can see, feel, touch, hear and smell the wonder of the Bay of Fundy at the Fundy Trail. Located just minutes from St. Martins and less than an hour from Saint John and Sussex - you can spend a few hours or an entire day! There are lots of places to stay, restaurants and other attractions nearby in St. Martins.
